Are you in the mood for something different? Get creative and modify the original pattern. You can:

• use fewer colours or add even more of them, even up to 10. Or try a gradient
• use another yarn weight, any yarn weight (just be aware of gauge and size differences)
• work each section for as long as you want or as long as your yarn lasts
• work the patterned sections in any order you like
• Are you in the mood for something simple? Work the body entirely in stockinette stitch and use any of the patterned sections as the border
• Have you fallen in love with one of the stitch patterns? You can have more than one patterned section worked in the same pattern

The pattern provides you with detailed instructions, if you choose to modify. No calculations needed, everything has already been done for you.
