Crocus Garden is a triangular shawl with a garter stitch border worked from the top down using just one skein of a gorgeous sock yarn for size S and two skeins for size L. The stockinette stitch body shows up the beautiful color changes in the yarn, however, if you want to emphasize the crocuses, use a non-variegated yarn to direct more attention to those lovely flowers on the edging.

While I was knitting the sample, I started to imagine possible scenarios for wearing Crocus Garden: as an additional light layer in Fall when the weather turns colder, around your neck with a pretty winter coat, at a holiday party to cover your shoulders, on a breezy Spring day and even on a cool Summer evening.
