TESTERS WROTE ABOUT THIS PATTERN

This design was such a pleasure to knit, It flows along very logically. The unique design really captures the beauty and geometry of the Laburnum leaves and flowers which I found particularly fascinating. It makes a really nice sized shawl with that beautiful leafy lace as a wonderful finish!

This pattern would make a good next step for someone who wants to experiment with lace knitting. It looks complex but is very logical in its construction, and the charts are very clear. The body involves interesting patterning and the border is lovely and easier than it looks. I think it would look fabulous with the addition of beads on the ‘spines’ of the leaves in the border.

The written pattern is very easy to understand. The finished shawl is beautiful and I plan to make a second one.

Pattern was easy to follow and a great knit.

Good shawl for someone beginning to knit leaf patterns. The body is mostly stockinette st and quite easy and the leaves are a bit more challenging but not too overwhelming. I usually use many markers for leaf pattern repeats but did not need for this pattern. Be sure to have enough yarn especially if you want to make the larger size. I ran just short but I knit loose.

As usual, this was a well written, detailed pattern which incorporates how to do modifications. That’s something I greatly appreciate as I increase the size of nearly every shawl I knit.

Fun and interesting pattern that becomes quite rhythmic after a few repeats.
