Violet Song
Violet Song is a shawl that is quite special to me. It is my 100th published design. When I started out as a designer in 2011, I could only dream of being able to write down a sentence like this in the future. And now that I reached this milestone, I am really grateful to everyone who helped me along the way.
I got this yarn from a dyer friend of mine who dyes the most gorgeous gradients. It is a silk and cashmere blend, a dream to work with, needless to say. I had lots of fun with this design, used five different stitch patterns and tried to combine them into a harmonious whole. The yarn screamed lace to me, so eyelets are the common denominator, mixed up with twisted stitches and beads here and there. The shawl is worked from the top down and has a triangular shape. Each chart is accompanied by full written instructions.
