Water Lilies
Have you ever wondered how you could translate your favourite paintings into other artistic languages? What would they be like as photography, music or… knitwear?
The three crescent shawls of of the Off the Canvas collection were all inspired by famous paintings. Naturally, my goal was not to make shawls that looked exactly like those paintings but to use them as kind of a compass when deciding on colours and creating texture.
This pattern was inspired by the painting Water Lilies by Claude Monet.
Each pattern contains charted and written instructions as well.
